Car
If you are traveling by car, start on the Hummingbird Highway (Hwy 1) from either Dangriga or Belmopan. If coming from Dangriga, head northwest on Hummingbird Highway for about 23 miles (37 km). If coming from Belmopan, head southeast on Hummingbird Highway for approximately 16 miles (26 km). Look for the sign for Billy Barquedier National Park after you pass the 17 1/2-mile marker. The entrance is located 1.2 miles (approximately 2 km) from this marker on your right. There is no entrance fee for the park, but be sure to check for any parking fees that may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Billy Barquedier National Park using public transportation, catch a bus heading towards Dangriga from Belize City or Belmopan. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the 17 1/2-mile marker on the Hummingbird Highway. The bus fare will be approximately $5-10 BZD depending on your departure point. Once you disembark, you will need to walk approximately 1.2 miles (2 km) along the highway towards the park entrance, which will be on your right. Be cautious as this is a busy road.
