Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from anywhere in the Stann Creek District, head northwest towards the Southern Highway (Philip Goldson Highway). Follow the Southern Highway until you reach the junction with the Hummingbird Highway. Take the Hummingbird Highway north towards Belize City. Continue to follow the Hummingbird Highway until it merges into the George Price Highway as you approach Belize City. Once you enter Belize City, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Regent Street. Turn left onto Regent Street and proceed straight until you reach 71 Regent St, where the Government House is located. There is no parking directly at Government House, so you may need to find street parking nearby, which may incur costs depending on the area.

  To reach Government House via public transportation, you can take a bus from any major town in the Stann Creek District to Belize City. Look for a bus heading to Belize City, which will drop you off at the bus terminal. From the bus terminal, you can take a taxi or walk to Government House, located at 71 Regent St. If you choose to walk, head north on the bus terminal road until you reach the junction with Regent Street. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the Government House. Be aware that the bus fare may vary depending on your departure location, typically ranging between $5 to $10 BZD.
