Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from any location within the Toledo District, start by heading towards Punta Gorda. From Punta Gorda, take the Southern Highway (Hummingbird Highway) heading north. After approximately 10 miles, look for the turnoff to Chiquibul Road on your right. Follow Chiquibul Road for about 4 miles until you reach Green Hills Butterfly Ranch, which will be on your left. Ensure you have a GPS or a map for additional navigation support.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, board a bus heading to Punta Gorda from Belize City or any nearby town. Once in Punta Gorda, you can catch a local taxi or a bus that goes towards the Southern Highway. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the intersection for Chiquibul Road. After getting off, it is a short 4-mile walk along Chiquibul Road to reach Green Hills Butterfly Ranch, which will be on your left. Alternatively, you can negotiate with the taxi driver to take you directly to the ranch.
