Getting There

Car
From the central area of Toledo District, head northwest on the Southern Highway (Hwy 1). Continue for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Mountain Pine Ridge. You'll see a sign indicating the direction to Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Turn left onto this road and drive for about 10 kilometers. The entrance to the reserve will be on your right, marked by a sign. Note that the road may be unpaved in sections, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

From Punta Gorda, take a local bus heading towards San Ignacio. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the junction for Mountain Pine Ridge. This journey typically takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach the junction, you will need to either walk or arrange a taxi to take you the remaining 10 kilometers to the reserve. Be sure to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver beforehand.
