Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Punta Gorda, the main town in the Toledo District. Head north on the Southern Highway (Hwy 1) for approximately 20 miles (32 km) until you reach the junction to the village of San Antonio. Turn left and follow the road for about 2 miles (3.2 km) until you see the signs for Secret Beach. Continue straight until the road ends and you reach the beach area. There is no entry fee for the beach, but be prepared for potential parking fees depending on where you park.
-
Public Transportation
From Punta Gorda, you can take a bus heading north on the Southern Highway. Inform the driver you are going to San Antonio, and they will drop you off at the junction. The bus fare is typically around $2-$3 BZD. From the junction, you'll need to hire a taxi to take you to Secret Beach, which will cost approximately $15-$20 BZD. The taxis are usually available at the junction.
-
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous and want to cycle, you can rent a bike in Punta Gorda. After getting on the Southern Highway, follow the same instructions as if you were driving. It's about a 20-mile ride, so make sure to bring plenty of water and supplies. Once you reach the San Antonio junction, continue to follow the road until you reach Secret Beach. Cycling is a great way to enjoy the scenery and the cost is mainly for the bike rental, which can range from $10-$15 BZD per day.
-
Walking
Walking to Secret Beach is not practical due to the distance (over 20 miles from Punta Gorda). However, if you're staying in a nearby village, inquire about local paths or trails that could lead you there, though this might be less straightforward and would require good local advice.
