Getting There

Car
From San Ignacio, head east on the Western Highway (Hwy Belize 1) towards Belmopan. After about 30 minutes, look for the exit to the left for the George Price Highway towards Belize City. Continue for approximately 8 miles (13 km) until you reach the junction for the Hydro Road. Take a left onto Hydro Road and drive for about 3.5 miles. The Che Chem Ha Cave will be on your left side at Mile 3.5 Hydro Rd. Parking is available nearby.

From San Ignacio, take a local bus heading towards Belmopan from the San Ignacio bus terminal. The bus ride costs around BZD 2-3 and lasts about 30 minutes. Once you reach Belmopan, transfer to a bus heading towards the Vaca area. Make sure to inform the driver you want to stop at Hydro Road. The fare for this leg is around BZD 5. After disembarking, walk approximately 0.5 miles along Hydro Road, and you will find Che Chem Ha Cave on your left at Mile 3.5.
