From San Ignacio, take the Western Highway (Hummingbird Highway) heading towards Belmopan. Continue on the Hummingbird Highway until you reach the junction with the Southern Highway. Turn left onto the Southern Highway and drive for approximately 12 miles (19 km). Look for the sign for Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary on your left, just before the Maya Center.
