Car
From San Ignacio, drive east on the George Price Highway (Hummingbird Highway). After about 20 miles, take the exit towards Belmopan. Continue on the highway for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with the Southern Highway. Turn left onto the Southern Highway and continue for about 15 miles until you see signs for the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. Follow the signs for Cockscomb until you reach the entrance. The Jaguar Reserve Nature Center is located within the sanctuary, approximately 6 miles from the entrance. Keep an eye out for the signage indicating the nature center.

Public Transportation
From San Ignacio, take a bus to Belmopan, which costs around BZD 5-7. Once in Belmopan, transfer to a bus heading towards Dangriga. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary entrance. This bus ride will cost about BZD 15. From the entrance of the sanctuary, you can either walk (approximately 6 miles) to the Jaguar Reserve Nature Center or arrange for a taxi, which may cost around BZD 20-25 for the ride.

If you are in a nearby town such as Dangriga or Placencia, you can hire a taxi directly to the Jaguar Reserve Nature Center. The fare from Dangriga is approximately BZD 50-60, and from Placencia, it may range from BZD 80-100. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, from where you can follow the signs to the nature center.
