If you are driving, start your journey from the town of Natitingou. Head southeast on the N6 road towards the village of Koussoukoingou. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction near the village of Bopa. There, take a right turn onto a smaller road leading directly to Chutes de Tanougou. Follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers, and you will arrive at the parking area for the waterfalls. Make sure to pay attention to local signage, as well as any indications to slow down for the unpaved sections of the road.

To reach Chutes de Tanougou using public transport, start from Natitingou. Take a shared taxi (known as 'benskin') heading towards Koussoukoingou. The fare should be around 500 CFA francs. Inform the driver you want to stop at the junction near Bopa. Once you arrive, you may need to wait for another shared taxi heading towards the falls. If there are no taxis, it's advisable to negotiate with a local to arrange for a motorcycle taxi (also known as 'zemidjan') to take you the remaining 10 kilometers to Chutes de Tanougou. Expect to pay around 1,000 CFA francs for this ride.
