Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Plateau, head northwest on the main road towards Koussanzamou. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers. As you approach Koussanzamou, look for signs indicating Chutes de Kota. The exact location is at the coordinates 10.2105° N, 1.4420° E. There is parking available near the site, but do be cautious as the roads can be narrow and winding.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Chutes de Kota by public transport, start at the main bus station in Plateau. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Koussanzamou. The fare should be around 1,000 CFA francs (approximately $1.50). The journey will take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Koussanzamou, you'll need to take a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) for the final leg of your journey. The moto-taxi fare is typically around 500 CFA francs (about $0.75) to reach the falls. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your ride.

• Walking

  If you're already in Koussanzamou, and feeling adventurous, you can walk to Chutes de Kota. From the center of Koussanzamou, head northwest on foot. Follow the main road for about 3 kilometers. Look for local signs that indicate the way to the falls. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
