Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Plateau. Head southeast on Avenue de la Révolution towards Rue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 4 km until you reach the intersection with Route de l'Aéroport. Turn left onto Route de l'Aéroport and continue for another 10 km. You will pass through some local neighborhoods, so keep an eye out for local traffic and pedestrians. After 10 km, turn right onto the road leading to Ouidah. Continue for approximately 5 km and you will see signs for Mémorial ZOMACHI. The memorial is located at 83RQ+F6R, Ouidah, right off the main road.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, head to the main bus station in Plateau. Look for buses heading to Ouidah; tickets typically cost around 1,000 CFA (approximately $1.50). The bus ride takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Ouidah, get off at the main bus stop. From there, you can either take a taxi (which should cost around 1,500 CFA or $2.50) or walk for about 20 minutes. To walk, head straight down Avenue de l'Indépendance until you reach Route de l'Aéroport, then turn right and continue until you see the signs for Mémorial ZOMACHI.

  If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Plateau. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The taxi ride to Mémorial ZOMACHI in Ouidah will typically cost between 10,000 to 15,000 CFA (approximately $15 to $23) depending on your starting point and traffic conditions. The driver will take you directly to 83RQ+F6R, Ouidah, which is very close to the memorial.
