Car
If you're driving from Plateau, head northwest on the main road towards Djougou. After approximately 150 km, you'll reach the town of Tanguiéta. In Tanguiéta, follow the signs to Pendjari National Park, which is about 30 km away. The road leading to the park is well-marked. Please note that some sections may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as mobile service can be spotty.
Public Transportation
Start by taking a shared taxi or bus from Plateau to Djougou. This journey will take about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Djougou, look for a shared taxi heading to Tanguiéta. The fare should be around 1,500 to 3,000 CFA Francs. Upon reaching Tanguiéta, you can hire a local taxi to take you to Pendjari National Park, which will cost approximately 5,000 CFA Francs. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Guided Tour
Consider booking a guided tour that includes transportation from Plateau to Pendjari National Park. Many tour operators in Plateau offer packages that cover entrance fees, transportation, and guided experiences in the park.
