Car
If you are driving from the center of Zou, head south on Route Nationale 4 towards Ouidah. The journey is approximately 1.5 hours (about 90 km) depending on traffic. Follow the signs to Ouidah, and once you arrive in the city, look for signs directing you to Pythons Temple, which is located in the center of Ouidah. Parking is available nearby, but make sure to check local parking regulations.
Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
To use public transportation, go to the nearest taxi-brousse station in Zou. Purchase a ticket to Ouidah; fares usually range from 2,000 to 5,000 CFA Francs. The taxi-brousse will take you directly to Ouidah, which takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ouidah, you can either walk to Pythons Temple, which is about a 15-minute walk from the main taxi-brousse drop-off point, or you can hire a local taxi for a short ride, which should cost around 1,000 CFA Francs.
Walking
If you arrive in Ouidah via taxi-brousse, after getting off, head east towards Avenue de l’Indépendance. Continue straight and follow the signs to Pythons Temple. The walk should take approximately 15 minutes. Enjoy the local sights along the way, as Ouidah has many interesting landmarks.
