Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Jakar town center. Head east on the main road (Bumthang-Jakar road) for about 1 kilometer. Look for a sign pointing towards Chokhor Chorten on your right. Follow this road, which will lead you through picturesque landscapes. Continue on this road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Chokhor Chorten, which will be located on your left. There is a small parking area nearby.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Jakar from Bumthang town. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Chokhor Chorten stop (it’s known to locals). This should cost you around 50-100 Ngultrum depending on your departure point. Once you get off, walk approximately 200 meters along the road until you see Chokhor Chorten on your right. It's a short and pleasant walk.
