Getting There

Car

From Bumthang Valley, start by taking the road towards Trongsa. Drive on the main highway (Bumthang-Trongsa Highway) for approximately 68 kilometers. The drive will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. As you approach Trongsa, you will see the majestic Trongsa Dzong on your left. Continue straight for another 15 kilometers until you reach the junction. At the junction, take a left turn towards Phobjikha Valley. Follow this road for about 20 km, which will lead you directly into Phobjikha Valley. If you prefer using public transportation, take a local bus from Bumthang to Trongsa. Buses operate regularly, and the fare is generally around 150 Ngultrum (BTN).
