Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Thimphu to Jangsarbu Lhakhang, take the Thimphu-Phuentsholing Highway (NH 2) heading towards Paro. After approximately 50 km, you'll reach Paro. Once in Paro, follow signs to the Paro Dzong, and after crossing the Paro Chhu River, turn left onto the road leading to Jangsarbu Lhakhang. The Lhakhang is located at coordinates 27.4287616, 89.4226669, which you can enter into your GPS for exact directions.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Jangsarbu Lhakhang using public transportation, board a bus from Thimphu to Paro. The bus service operates frequently throughout the day and takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Paro, you can either take a taxi to the Lhakhang or walk if you prefer a more scenic route, which is about 3 km from the bus station. Taxis are readily available near the bus station and will charge you around 300-500 Ngultrum for the ride.

• Walking

  If you choose to walk from the Paro bus station to Jangsarbu Lhakhang, head southeast on the main street, following signs to the Paro Dzong. After crossing the river, continue along the road, keeping an eye out for local signs directing you to the Lhakhang. The walk is approximately 30-40 minutes, offering you stunning views of the valley and surrounding landscape.

• Taxi

  After arriving in Paro by bus, you can hire a local taxi directly from the bus station to take you to Jangsarbu Lhakhang. The taxi fare is generally around 300-500 Ngultrum and the ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
