Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car from Thimphu, take the Thimphu-Phuentsholing Highway (NH 2) and head towards Paro. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you reach Paro, follow signs to 'Taktsang' or 'Tiger's Nest'. You can park your car at the main parking area near the base of the trek.

Public Transportation
From Thimphu, you can take a bus or shared taxi (local terms: 'taxi' or 'maxi') to Paro. The journey will take about 1.5 hours. Once in Paro, you can hire a taxi to take you to the base of the Paro Taktsang trek. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes and cost approximately 300-500 Ngultrum.

Trekking
Upon reaching the base of the trek, you will need to hike the remaining distance to Paro Taktsang. The trek is about 2-3 hours uphill (approximately 6 km). It's advisable to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water. There is an entry fee of 1,200 Ngultrum for foreigners, which must be paid at the entrance.
