After reaching Thimphu, follow the signs to Paro, which is about 50 km away. Once in Paro, look for signs leading to Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest). The last stretch is a winding road leading to the trailhead. Please note that there is a parking fee of around 300 Ngultrum (Nu) for your vehicle.

    To reach Paro Taktsang using public transportation, take a bus from Chhukha District to Thimphu. The bus ride takes about 1-2 hours. From Thimphu, transfer to another bus heading to Paro. The journey from Thimphu to Paro will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Paro, you can take a local taxi or hike to the trailhead for Paro Taktsang. The taxi fare from Paro town to the trailhead is approximately 400-600 Ngultrum (Nu).

  • Hiking

    If you prefer a more adventurous approach, after reaching the trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 2-3 hours uphill to reach Paro Taktsang.
