Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from Chhukha District, head towards the town of Phuentsholing. From Phuentsholing, take the road to Thimphu, which is approximately 30 km. After reaching Thimphu, follow the signs to Paro, which is about 50 km away. Once in Paro, look for signs leading to Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest). The last stretch is a winding road leading to the trailhead. Please note that there is a parking fee of around 300 Ngultrum (Nu) for your vehicle.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Paro Taktsang using public transportation, take a bus from Chhukha District to Thimphu. The bus ride takes about 1-2 hours. From Thimphu, transfer to another bus heading to Paro. The journey from Thimphu to Paro will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Paro, you can take a local taxi or hike to the trailhead for Paro Taktsang. The taxi fare from Paro town to the trailhead is approximately 400-600 Ngultrum (Nu).
