Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Paro Town, head southeast on the main road (National Highway 2) towards Thimphu. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the bridge over the Paro Chu River. The river will be visible on your right side. You can park your car at the designated parking areas near the bridge. From there, you can walk along the riverbank or head to the viewpoints that offer stunning views of the Paro Chu.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a local bus or shared taxi from the Paro Town bus station. Look for vehicles heading towards Thimphu; they will pass close to the Paro Chu. Inform the driver that you wish to stop by the Paro Chu, and they will drop you off near the bridge. The fare ranges from 20 to 50 Nu depending on the type of vehicle. From the drop-off point, you can walk along the riverbank to explore various spots along the Paro Chu.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the Paro Chu, you can simply walk to the river. From the bridge, follow the paths along the riverbank. There are signs and well-trodden paths that guide you to the scenic spots. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven. This is a great way to experience the natural beauty of the area up close.
