Car
If you are driving from Thimphu, head south on the Thimphu-Phuentsholing Highway (NH 8). Continue for about 28 kilometers until you reach the town of Chhukha. From Chhukha, take the road towards Tanalung. Follow signs towards Tanalung village and drive approximately 10 kilometers. The New Tanalung Bridge will be easily visible as you approach the area. There are no tolls on this route.

Public Transportation (Bus)
Take a bus from Thimphu to Phuentsholing, which operates frequently throughout the day. Upon reaching Phuentsholing, transfer to a local bus or taxi heading towards Chhukha. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Tanalung. The fare from Thimphu to Phuentsholing is approximately 200 Nu, and the fare from Phuentsholing to Tanalung is around 50 Nu. The total travel time can take around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on wait times.

Taxi
You can hire a taxi from Thimphu directly to New Tanalung Bridge. This is a more comfortable option and can take around 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 1,500 to 2,000 Nu for a one-way trip. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.

Local Transport (Walk or Cycle)
Once you arrive in Tanalung village, the New Tanalung Bridge is located about 1-2 kilometers from the village center. If you prefer walking or cycling, the path is quite scenic and well-marked. Take the opportunity to enjoy the local scenery and atmosphere. This last leg of the journey should take approximately 15-30 minutes depending on your pace.
