Car
If you're driving to Dagana Dzong, start your journey from the main town of Dagana. Head northwest on Dagana Road (3VCM+C4M) towards the dzong. The dzong is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the center of Dagana town. Follow the road signs, and you will reach the dzong, which is easily visible from the road. There is parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Dagana Dzong via public transportation, take a local bus or shared taxi from the nearest major town, which is Gedu. Buses and shared taxis frequently run from Gedu to Dagana. Once you arrive in Dagana town, walk or hire a taxi to take you to the dzong. The dzong is about a 10-minute drive from the bus stop in Dagana. Ensure to confirm with the driver about stopping at Dagana Dzong as some may head straight to the town center.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can hike from Dagana town to Dagana Dzong. The walk is about 1.5 kilometers and takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Simply head northwest on Dagana Road, and you will see the dzong on your left. The path is mostly flat and well-marked, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
