    Getting There

    Car

    From Dagana, head north on the main road towards Wangdue Phodrang. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Nobding. At the junction, take a left turn towards Phobjikha Valley. Drive for another 15 kilometers, and you will see a sign indicating Gangtey Monastery. Follow the signs to the monastery, which is located on a hill. The journey may take about an hour depending on road conditions.

    Public Transportation (Bus)

    Start at the Dagana bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Wangdue Phodrang. Get off at Nobding junction, which is about 30 kilometers from Dagana. From the junction, you can either take a local taxi or a shared vehicle to Phobjikha Valley. The distance from Nobding to Gangtey Monastery is around 15 kilometers. Make sure to confirm with the driver to drop you off at the monastery entrance. The entire commute may take around two hours, and bus fares can range from 100 to 200 Nu.
