Car
From Gasa, head south towards the Wangdue Phodrang district. Follow the road for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction for Thimphu. Take a left turn towards Thimphu and continue driving for about 70 kilometers. Once you approach Thimphu, look for signs leading to Dechenphug Lhakhang. The temple is located at coordinates 27.5425° N, 89.6249° E. You may need to park at a designated area nearby and walk the last few hundred meters to the temple entrance.
Public Transportation
From Gasa, take a local bus heading to Thimphu. The bus ride will take approximately 2 hours and cost around 200 Ngultrum. Once you arrive in Thimphu, you will need to take a taxi or a shared taxi to reach Dechenphug Lhakhang. The taxi ride from the Thimphu bus station to Dechenphug Lhakhang will take about 20 minutes and will cost approximately 300 Ngultrum.
Walking
If you are already in Thimphu and wish to walk, you can start from the city center. Head towards Dechenphug Lhakhang located about 5 kilometers from central Thimphu. Take the main road leading southeast out of the city. The walk will take roughly 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to follow the signs to ensure you're on the right path.
