Car
To reach Thimphu Main Traffic from Gasa by car, start by heading south on the Gasa-Thimphu Highway (also known as the Gasa-Gangtey Road). This scenic route takes you through beautiful landscapes and small villages. The distance is approximately 68 km and the drive will take around 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions. Follow the signs towards Thimphu. As you approach Thimphu, keep an eye out for the main traffic area which is situated at 2 Norzin Lam -II. There is no toll on this route.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Gasa, you can take a bus heading to Thimphu. Buses typically depart from the Gasa bus station. The journey takes about 3-4 hours and costs around 100-150 Ngultrum (BTN). Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may not run frequently. Once you arrive in Thimphu, ask the driver or locals for directions to Norzin Lam -II, which is a central point in the city and very close to the main traffic area.

If you prefer a more direct and private option, you can hire a taxi from Gasa to Thimphu. This will provide you with a comfortable ride and the flexibility to stop along the way if you wish. The fare for this trip will generally be around 3000-4000 Ngultrum (BTN). Upon arriving in Thimphu, request the driver to take you to 2 Norzin Lam -II, where Thimphu Main Traffic is located.
