Car
From the main town of Haa, drive towards the south on the Haa-Chuzom Highway (NH 110). The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Look for a sign that indicates the direction to Juneydrak Hermitage. After approximately 8 km, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path that leads towards the hermitage. The road will eventually become a dirt path, so drive carefully. Continue for about 3 km until you reach the parking area near the hermitage.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, head to the local bus station in Haa. Look for a bus heading towards Chuzom or any local bus that passes by the Haa-Chuzom Highway. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the nearest stop to Juneydrak Hermitage. Once you disembark, you will need to walk about 3 km along the dirt path leading to the hermitage. It is advisable to ask locals for directions if you feel uncertain.
Walking
If you are already in Haa and prefer to walk, start from the Haa Dzong. Head south on the main road which leads to the Haa-Chuzom Highway. Walk approximately 8 km until you reach the fork in the road, then take the left path. Continue walking for another 3 km on the dirt path to reach Juneydrak Hermitage. This hike may take around 2 hours, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
