Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Jakar, head east on Jakar Rd. Continue walking for about 1 km. As you walk, you will notice the beautiful landscapes and traditional Bhutanese architecture. Keep an eye out for local shops and cafes along the way. When you reach the intersection with a small path leading up the hill, take the left onto this path. Follow the path for another 500 meters until you see the Jakar Nagtshang on your right. The museum is located at GPXV+8V8, Jakar Rd, Jakar, and is easily recognizable by its distinct architecture.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the main square in Jakar and ride east along Jakar Rd. It’s approximately a 1 km ride. As you pedal, enjoy the scenic views and make sure to keep your speed manageable as the path can be shared with pedestrians. After around 1 km, look for a small trail on your left that leads uphill. Turn onto this trail and continue for about 500 meters until you reach Jakar Nagtshang, which will be on your right.

The trail can be steep in parts, so take your time. After reaching the main road, look for the uphill path on your left and take it.
