From Jakar town center, head northeast towards the main road (Pangbang-Jakar Highway). Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the Lhuentse Road. Turn right onto Lhuentse Road, which will lead you through beautiful countryside and small villages. Continue walking for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach Lhuentse Dzong. The route is well-marked, and you will enjoy scenic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Hiking
For a more adventurous option, consider taking the hiking trail from Jakar to Lhuentse Dzong. Start at the Jakar Dzong and follow the trail markers leading into the hills. The hike takes approximately 3-4 hours and covers a distance of about 12 kilometers. The path winds through forests and offers stunning views of the landscape.
