It's approximately a 2-hour walk to Gantey village. Upon reaching Gantey, look for local signs directing you to Phobjikha Valley. The valley is a short trek from Gantey, taking about 30 minutes on foot, following the well-marked trails.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Jakar and head south on the Jakar-Thimphu Highway. The trip to Gantey is approximately 20 kilometers and can take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Gantey, follow local signage or ask locals for directions to Phobjikha Valley, which is about a 30-minute bike ride from Gantey.
Hiking
For the adventurous, you can take a hiking route from Jakar to Phobjikha Valley.
