If you are traveling by car within Mongar District, head towards Thrisa, a village in Shingkhar. From Mongar town, take the road towards Bumthang, and after around 20 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Shingkhar. Continue along this road, following the scenic route until you reach Thrisa. Once in Thrisa, ask locals for directions to Lompho Phantang, as it is a well-known tourist attraction in the area.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Mongar to Bumthang. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Thrisa. Once you arrive in Thrisa, you can either walk to Lompho Phantang or hire a local taxi or hire a local guide who can assist you. The cost of the bus ticket should be around 150-200 Nu, depending on the service.
Walking
If you find yourself in Thrisa, walking to Lompho Phantang is a viable option. The site is located approximately 2 kilometers from the village center. Follow the main path leading out of Thrisa, and you should be able to spot signs or local people who can guide you. It’s a pleasant walk through the countryside, taking around 30-40 minutes.
