Walking
From the center of Mongar town, head east towards the Mongar Dzong. Proceed straight past the dzong for about 1 km until you reach the main road (Punakha - Bumthang Highway). Turn right onto the highway and follow it for approximately 5 km. You will come across a sign for Punakha, indicating the direction to the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Continue on this path, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
Bus
Begin at the main bus terminal in Mongar. Look for a bus heading towards Punakha, which should be clearly marked. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Inform the bus conductor of your destination, and they will alert you when you reach the Punakha Suspension Bridge area. Once you arrive, follow the signs or ask locals for the short walking path to the bridge.
