Hiking
From the center of Mongar, start at the Mongar Dzong. Head northeast on the road towards the town of Lingmethang. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Take the left path towards Lingmethang. Continue on this trail for about 12 kilometers until you reach the small town of Lingmethang. Here, you can rest and take in the local sights. From Lingmethang, continue on the trail, following signs towards Phobjikha Valley. The trail will take you through beautiful landscapes and may take around 3-4 hours to reach the valley.

From Mongar, head to the local bus station located near the main market area. Look for buses heading towards Wangdue Phodrang or Punakha, as they will pass through the vicinity of Phobjikha Valley. The bus ride will take approximately 3-4 hours. Inform the bus driver that you wish to get off at the Phobjikha Valley stop, which is usually well-known.
