Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Paro town. Head east on the main road (National Highway 2) towards the Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) area. Follow the signs for the Taktsang Monastery. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see a turnoff to the right. Take this road and continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach Janka Resort, which will be on your left. Make sure to check your GPS with the coordinates 27.4377508, 89.395372 for accurate navigation.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from anywhere in Paro Valley. Just inform the driver that you want to go to Janka Resort, located near the Taktsang Monastery area. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 300-500 Nu depending on your negotiating skills and the distance from your starting point.
Public Transportation
Public buses operate from Paro town to various destinations in the valley. Look for a bus heading towards the Taktsang area. You will want to get off at the nearest stop to the monastery, and from there, you can either walk or hire a local taxi. Walking from the bus stop to Janka Resort is about a 30-minute trek, so be prepared for some walking. The bus fare is usually around 30-50 Nu.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Janka Resort, you can enjoy a scenic walk. From the nearest bus stop, head down the road towards the paddy fields. Follow the signs that lead towards the Taktsang Monastery. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Janka Resort. This route is particularly beautiful and gives you a chance to enjoy the local landscape.
