Start from the center of Paro, near the Paro Dzong. Head north on the main road (National Highway 2) towards the direction of the Paro International Airport. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction where the road splits. At this junction, take the left path that leads towards Drakarpo. After about 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Drakarpo. Follow this road for another 1.5 kilometers, and you will arrive at Drakarpo, which is situated on a hillside. The walk takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

For a more adventurous route, you can hike to Drakarpo. Begin your journey at the Paro Dzong and head towards the trail that leads to the upper valley. Follow the marked hiking path, which will take you through beautiful landscapes and local villages. The hike is moderately challenging and will take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to follow the signs directing you towards Drakarpo. The final ascent will lead you to the temple, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Paro valley.
