Walking
From the center of Paro, head towards the main street (Norbuling Chhu) and walk northeast. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the roundabout near the Paro Dzong. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road leading to Jangsa. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and small eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the GAWALING HOTEL sign on your left. The hotel is located at CCR9+9QJ, and you will need to walk down a small path leading up to the hotel entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in central Paro. Start by cycling towards Norbuling Chhu and continue to the roundabout near the Paro Dzong. Take the first exit onto the road leading to Jangsa. It’s about a 1 kilometer ride. Be cautious as the road can be busy with both vehicles and pedestrians. As you approach the hotel, look for the GAWALING HOTEL sign on your left and bike up the path leading to the entrance.
Public Transport
While public transport options are limited in Paro, you can take a local bus that heads towards Jangsa. Ask the driver to drop you off near the Jangsa area. From the drop-off point, walk about 500 meters down the road. Look for the GAWALING HOTEL sign on your left, and follow the path leading to the hotel entrance.
