From the center of Paro, walk towards the Paro Dzong, which is a prominent landmark. Once you reach the dzong, continue along the road leading to the base of the Taktsang Monastery trailhead. The trailhead is located at Ramthangka, approximately 10 km from the dzong. Follow the signs indicating 'Taktsang Monastery' or 'Tiger's Nest'. The hike to the monastery takes about 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked and has several viewpoints where you can rest and take in the scenery.

Horse Ride
For a less strenuous option, you can hire a horse at the trailhead located at Ramthangka. This will take you part of the way up to the Taktsang Monastery. The horse ride will cover about half of the trail, and you will still need to hike the remaining distance to the monastery. Ensure you negotiate the price with the horse owner before starting the ride.
