From the center of Pemagatshel, take the road heading towards the east and follow the signs for Samdrup Jongkhar. Continue on this main road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the intersection that leads to the border area. Make sure to have your identification and necessary travel documents ready for checks at the border. Once you cross the border into India, continue driving for about 10 kilometers until you reach QC59+7G9, Subankhata in Assam, where the Indo-Bhutan Friendship Mela is held. Note that you may need to pay a small fee for crossing the border.

Begin your journey at the Pemagatshel bus station. Take a bus heading towards Samdrup Jongkhar. The journey should take around 1-1.5 hours depending on the road conditions. Once you arrive in Samdrup Jongkhar, you will need to catch another bus or shared taxi heading towards the border. Once you reach the border, be prepared to show your identification and travel documents. After crossing into India, take a local bus or shared taxi to QC59+7G9, Subankhata, which is approximately a 10-kilometer trip. Ensure you have some Indian Rupees for local transportation costs.
