Car
From the center of Phobjikha Valley, head south on the main road towards Giala. Follow the road for approximately 5 kilometers, passing through scenic landscapes and local farms. Keep an eye out for signposts indicating Sha Khothangkha. As you approach the coordinates CXHR+77, Giala, you will find a small parking area near the site. Parking is generally free.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transport, catch a local bus from the main bus stop in Phobjikha Valley towards Giala. The bus leaves periodically throughout the day. Inform the driver of your destination, Sha Khothangkha, and they will drop you off near the site. The fare is typically around 50 Ngultrum. From the bus stop, it is a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the exact location at CXHR+77.
Walking
For those already in the vicinity of Giala, you can walk to Sha Khothangkha. Start from the Giala village center and walk towards the coordinates CXHR+77. It’s a pleasant walk of about 20-30 minutes through local paths. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
