Getting There

  • Car

    From Phobjikha Valley, head towards the town of Wangdue Phodrang. Follow the signs for the Wangdue Phodrang – Mongar highway. This scenic drive will take you through beautiful landscapes. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the junction at Wangdue Phodrang. Turn left onto the road towards Mongar. Continue for about 60 km until you reach Gyelposhing. The viewpoint will be located on the Mongar - Gyelposhing Road, approximately 2 km before Gyelposhing town.

  • Public Transportation

    From Phobjikha Valley, you can take a local bus to Wangdue Phodrang. The bus ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Wangdue Phodrang, transfer to a bus heading to Mongar. This leg of the journey takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Inform the bus conductor that you wish to get off near Gyelposhing. After reaching Gyelposhing, you can either walk or take a taxi for 2 km along the Mongar - Gyelposhing Road to reach the viewpoint.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Phobjikha Valley to Gyelposhing. This will be a private ride and will take around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on road conditions. The taxi fare may vary, but you should expect to pay around 3000 - 4000 BTN for the trip. Once you arrive in Gyelposhing, the driver can drop you off at the viewpoint along the Mongar - Gyelposhing Road.
