Car
If you are traveling by car within Phobjikha Valley, you can easily navigate to Kumbu Lhakhang. Start from the main junction in Phobjikha Valley and head towards the Gangtey Monastery. Continue on the road for about 10 minutes until you reach a fork. Take the left fork and follow the road for another 5 minutes. You will see signs directing you to Kumbu Lhakhang. The temple is located at G56H+658, which is just off the main road.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, check for local shared taxis or buses from the main town in Phobjikha Valley towards Gangtey Monastery. The ride should take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the fork towards Kumbu Lhakhang. From there, you may need to walk for about 15 minutes along the road that leads directly to the temple. Ensure to confirm the return schedule of public transport, as options may be limited.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Kumbu Lhakhang, walking is a pleasant option. From Gangtey Monastery, take the path leading downhill towards the valley. It is a scenic walk of approximately 20 minutes. Follow the signs for Kumbu Lhakhang. The temple is located in a serene area surrounded by beautiful landscapes, making the walk both enjoyable and enriching.
