Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from central Punakha, start by heading east on the Punakha-Wangdue Highway (NH 5). Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction for Teoprongchu. Turn left onto this road, which is well-marked. Follow the road for approximately 2 kilometers, and you will see signs indicating Chimi Lhakhang. There is parking available near the temple.

    To reach Chimi Lhakhang by public transport, first take a local bus from Punakha town to Wangdue Phodrang. These buses typically leave from the main bus station.
