Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Punakha, head towards the Punakha Dzong. Continue walking along the main road leading to Wangdue Phodrang. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path towards the Trashigang-Semtokha Highway. Continue straight for about 4 kilometers. As you approach Chendebji, keep an eye out for signs indicating the Chorten. The Chendebji Chorten will be on your left, easily identifiable by its unique structure.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Punakha. Start your journey by cycling towards the Punakha Dzong. Once you reach the Dzong, follow the main road towards Wangdue Phodrang. After 1.5 kilometers, look for the fork in the road and take the left path leading to Trashigang-Semtokha Highway. Cycle along this road for approximately 4 kilometers until you see the Chendebji Chorten on your left side.

From there, follow the trail that leads up the hill towards the highway.
