If you are in the center of Punakha, head towards the Punakha Suspension Bridge, which is a prominent landmark. From the bridge, follow the trail along the riverbank until you reach the junction where you can see the Dzong in the distance. Continue walking towards the Dzong, crossing the small wooden bridge over the river. After crossing, take a left and walk along the path that leads directly to the entrance of Punakha Dzong.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main market area of Punakha. Ride towards the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, park your bicycle and walk towards the Dzong as described in the walking instructions. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes, and the walk to the Dzong from the bridge will take another 10 minutes.
