Walking
From the center of Punakha, head east towards the Punakha Dzong, a major landmark. Continue walking along the main road until you reach the junction at the bridge over the Pho Chhu River. Cross the bridge and follow the road until you reach the fork where the road splits towards the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Take the left path. After about 30 minutes, you will reach a small village. Ask a local for directions to Chubu Tshachu, as it is a popular destination and they will be able to guide you. Continue following the path, which will lead you through scenic landscapes and eventually towards the thermal baths.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Punakha and start your journey heading towards Punakha Dzong. From there, take the same route as the walking directions, riding along the main road until you reach the Pho Chhu River bridge. Cross the bridge and take the left turn at the fork towards the Punakha Suspension Bridge. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Chubu Tshachu, and don't hesitate to stop and ask locals for the best path.
Hiking
If you are more adventurous, embark on a hiking trail from Punakha. Start at the Punakha Dzong and follow the trail that leads toward the hills overlooking the valley. Ascend gently, and you will find various signs directing you towards Chubu Tshachu. This route offers stunning views of the Punakha valley. The hike may take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking shoes and carry water for the journey.
