Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Punakha, start at the Punakha Dzong. Head south along the main road, following the signs toward Wangdue Phodrang. After approximately 1 kilometer, look for a sign indicating Dhumra Farm Resort. Turn onto the dirt road and continue walking for about 2 kilometers. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful rice fields and small villages. Keep an eye out for local farmers and the stunning landscapes typical of Bhutan. • Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Punakha. Begin at the Punakha Dzong and cycle south along the main road toward Wangdue Phodrang. After about 1 kilometer, turn onto the dirt road leading to Dhumra Farm Resort. The ride is approximately 3 kilometers in total from the Dzong.
