Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Punakha, head towards the Punakha Dzong, which is a well-known landmark. From the Dzong, take the path leading to the Punakha - Gasa Highway. Follow the highway northwards for about 2 kilometers. You will pass through some scenic views and local houses. Stay on the main road, and you will eventually see Druk Rafting Service on your right-hand side, marked by signage. The total walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

• Bicycling

  From the center of Punakha, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start cycling towards the Punakha Dzong, then continue onto the Punakha - Gasa Highway. Cycle north for about 2 kilometers. The route is mostly flat and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Druk Rafting Service will be on your right side, just before you reach the bridge over the river. Expect the ride to take around 15 minutes.

• Local Bus

  If you're looking for public transport, find the nearest bus stop in Punakha. Take any bus heading towards Gasa or the north that stops along the Punakha - Gasa Highway. Inform the driver or conductor that you wish to get off at Druk Rafting Service. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the rafting service location, which is marked by clear signage.

• Trekking

  For a more adventurous option, consider trekking from Punakha towards Druk Rafting Service. Start your trek from the Punakha Dzong, following the paths that lead up to the hills. After about 1 hour of trekking, descend towards the valley where the Punakha - Gasa Highway is located. Once you reach the highway, head north for about 20 minutes until you see Druk Rafting Service on your right side. This trek offers stunning views and can take about 1.5 hours in total.
