Car
If you are driving from Sarpang, head towards the Trongsa district. Start by taking the road leading to the east from Sarpang. Continue on the main highway (NH 8) for approximately 70 km. You will pass through beautiful rural landscapes and small villages along the way. As you approach Trongsa, keep an eye out for signs indicating Yungdrung Choling Palace. The palace is located at GPS coordinates 27.3653509, 90.5610553, which can also be entered into your GPS device for exact navigation. Parking is usually available near the palace.
Public Transportation
For those traveling by public transport, take a bus from Sarpang to Trongsa. Buses frequently run between these locations throughout the day, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours depending on traffic and weather conditions. Once you arrive in Trongsa, you can hire a local taxi or use a tuk-tuk to reach Yungdrung Choling Palace. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination; you can also show them the GPS coordinates (27.3653509, 90.5610553) if needed. The taxi fare to the palace should be around 300-500 Nu (Bhutanese currency).
