Car
If you are traveling by car from the center of Sarpang, head north on the main highway towards Gelephu. Drive approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Semtokha. Take a left turn onto the Semtokha road and continue for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Simtokha Dzong. As you approach, look for the entrance on your right, located at 846 Je Bamo Lam SE, Tshatshobaykha. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transport, catch a bus from Sarpang to Semtokha. Buses typically leave from the main bus station in Sarpang. The journey will take around 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Semtokha, you can either walk (approximately 2 kilometers) to Simtokha Dzong or take a local taxi for a small fee (around 100-200 BTN). The Dzong is situated at 846 Je Bamo Lam SE, Tshatshobaykha, and is well-signposted.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Sarpang to Simtokha Dzong. The journey will take about 25 minutes. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting the trip; it should range between 300-500 BTN depending on your negotiation skills and the time of day. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance located at 846 Je Bamo Lam SE, Tshatshobaykha.
