From Tashiyangtse town center, drive towards the Trashigang-Semtokha Hwy. Continue on this highway for approximately 30 kilometers. You will see signs for Chendebji Chorten along the way. The journey typically takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive, you can park your vehicle in the designated area near the chorten.
Public Transportation
Catch a local bus or shared taxi from Tashiyangtse to Trashigang. The buses typically depart from the main bus station. After arriving in Trashigang, look for a bus heading towards Bumthang or any vehicle that passes by Chendebji Chorten. It’s advisable to ask the driver to stop at Chendebji Chorten to ensure you don’t miss it. The entire trip may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on waiting times and traffic.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and are in good shape, you can hike from Tashiyangtse to Chendebji Chorten. This trek is roughly 30 kilometers and can take a full day, depending on your pace. Start early in the morning and follow the Trashigang-Semtokha Hwy until you reach the chorten. Make sure to carry sufficient water and snacks for the journey.
