To reach Phobjikha Valley from Tashiyangtse by car, you will need to head west on the main road (National Highway 2) towards Wangdue Phodrang. After approximately 45 kilometers, you will reach a junction near Wangdue Phodrang. Take the left turn onto the road leading to Gangtey/Phobjikha Valley, which is well signposted. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers, passing through picturesque landscapes, until you arrive in Phobjikha Valley. The total travel time is around 2 to 2.5 hours depending on road conditions. Be aware of potential costs for fuel, which can vary.

Public Bus

To travel to Phobjikha Valley via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Tashiyangtse to Wangdue Phodrang. The bus station in Tashiyangtse is located near the town center. Buses run regularly and the fare is relatively inexpensive (around 100-150 Ngultrum). The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive in Wangdue Phodrang, you will need to transfer to a local taxi or minibus heading to Phobjikha Valley.
