• Car

  To reach Tawang city from Tashiyangtse by car, start your journey by heading northwest on the NH13. The distance is approximately 110 kilometers and will take around 4 to 5 hours depending on road conditions. Keep an eye out for road signs leading to Tawang as you approach the junction near Bomdila. Once you reach Bomdila, follow the signs to Tawang, continuing on the winding roads through the mountains. Be prepared for some steep climbs and breathtaking views along the way.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Tashiyangtse, you can take a bus to Tawang. Head to the local bus station and catch a bus heading towards Tawang. The journey may take around 5 to 6 hours. Buses typically leave in the morning, so check the schedule ahead of time. The bus will take you through Bomdila, where you might need to switch buses.
